couldn´t say it better:Long Beach, California circa 1983, a time for the peak of SoCal hardcore, and Target of Demand brought a pounding manic sound. Mix Black Flag with the hardcore of the D.C. vein especially Teen Idles, and some Bad Brains and you have the onslaught of 'Man's Ruin'. Filled with political and social commentary, there's no holding back with the blazing guitar and thundering basslines. The production is outstanding with this record, where the crescendos of the chords merge with raucous vocals that inspire the listener to get into the slam pit. Raw and extreme, it still sounds fresh today. It's a shame shame shame that the album is out of print and decidedly rare to come by; a much sought after LP. The band also appears on the Long Beach area compilation 'When Men Were Men...and Sheep Were Scared' and unfortunately these are the only recordings that hold the legacy of Target of Demand.
